Celebrity couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s Kapamilya series “Make It with You” did not make it through the quarantine, according to Soberano’s manager, Ogie Diaz.
The show will not be going back on air along with other ABS-CBN shows.
However, the on-screen and off-screen love team will be starring in a new one in the future, Diaz announced on Facebook.
“Sa mga nagtatanong kumbakit hindi nakasama ang “Make It With You” sa magbabalik sa telebisyon ngayong June. ..”
“Ikinalulungkot ko pong ibalita sa inyo bilang manager ng isa sa bida (si Liza Soberano) na hindi na po ito mapapanood pa.”
Ogie further mentioned that the rest of the crew already knew the sudden axing of their show.
“Alam na po ito ng lahat ng cast, lalo na ng LizQuen.”
“Alam kong nabitin kayo sa love story nina Billie at Gabo, kaya hintayin na lamang po ang pagbabalik ng loveteam sa isa pang bagong teleserye.”
“Salamat po, mga Kapamilya!”
Bombarded by LizQuen fans asking why, Theodore Boborol, one of the directors of Make It With You, did not give any concrete answer.
Boborol simply explained in his tweet:
“The returning dramas have multiple episodes already in the can even before the pandemic hit.”
Make It With You was the first teleserye where Liza and Enrique had their first kissing scene on television.
He also said that the returning dramas, including “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, “A Soldier’s Heart”, and “Love Thy Woman, have multiple episodes already in the can even before the pandemic hit.
Though saddened by the news, Theodore urged everyone to continue supporting the programs that will return on-air, as well as the new shows that will be launched via the Kapamilya Channel.
New shows “Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan” with Judy Ann Santos and “Iba ‘Yan” hosted by Angel Locsin will also be aired.
Kapamilya Channel will be available from June 13.
