Due to the ongoing restrictions implemented by the enhanced community quarantine, most of the regular workforce had no other option but stay at home for the meantime.
Other essential jobs had to adjust to practice social distancing amid the ongoing pandemic.
And just like any other work, the legislative branch had to make some adjustments too.
The Senate recently amended its rules to allow both the virtual and physical attendance of its members amid the threat of C0VID19.
Recently, the senat0rs had a good laugh during the “hybrid” plenary session on Monday.
Their colleague Senat0r Cynthia Villar appeared to had forgot to mute her microphone.
Villar casually asked her Senate staff some question and paperworks unaware that she was being heard by fellow lawmakers.
“O anong sagot dito Dianne? Dianne?”
Upon realizing her blooper, the senat0r apologized immediately and turned off her microphone.
Her fellow colleagues who are on attendance cannot help but laugh at the unintentional funny mistake.
“Senator Villar, you are well advised to put off your microphone,”
Senate President Vicente Sotto III said while laughing.
Majority Senate Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri also noted that they were having technical difficulties with Villar’s microphone
Both Senator Manny Pacquiao and Franklin Drilon were all smiles at the hilarious scene.
Senator Sonny Angara meanwhile jokingly recognized Villar’s staff in jest.
“I move that Diane be recognized, Mr. President”
After sharing the light moment, the Senate proceedings continued.
