Matt Evan Shared In An Interview That His Wife Katrina Fariñas-Evans Lost Almost P6 Million In Luxury Business

Inspirational success stories are everywhere you look.

But stories about business failure?

Those are harder to find.

Failure is uncomfortable – and persistent. But the more successful you want to be, the more failure there is to overcome.

Just like the story of actor Matt Evans and his wife Katrina Fariñas-Evans.

Despite the lengthy battle of Matt Evans and his wife Katrina Fariñas against the scammer who swindled them of almost P6 million worth of luxury items, he and his wife are trying their best to be positive and recover.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Matt exclaimed that they are still trying to get back on their feet after almost three years.

“Noong umpisa hindi mo masisisi, kumbaga bakit ka nagbigay, bakit ganito, bakit ka nagtiwala ka agad. So parang sa amin lang andyan na ‘yan e, pinagpasa-Diyos mo na, pero kailangan mo pa rin kumilos.”

They have questioned, regretted and accepted the consequences that affected their lives but continues to do whatever it takes to recover.

The ‘Pedro Penduko’ star also shared that the scammer is an acquaintance of Katrina. So, it really was easy to give trust and the couple never expected that this could happen. They just want the case to be over.

“Huwag na sana niya kami pahirapan, mag-settle na lang siya kung ano ang kaya. Kasi doon naman din aabot ‘to kahit pahabain mo pa, ‘di ba? Settlement din naman aabot. Kung ano ang kaya mo salubong na lang, ganun rin naman e. Pagtrabahuhan na lang lahat.”

Correspondingly, Matt voiced out his thoughts and message to the one that conned his wife’s business of reselling luxury goods including designer bags and pieces of jewelry.

It was year 2016 when they file the ‘estafa’ case in Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office against the scammer who they didn’t mention its name.

According to Matt, until now the case is ongoing.

Way too many of us are treating these struggles like dirty secrets. So let’s stop right now. Instead, let’s pull failure into the light and figure out how we can overcome it to reach our goals.

What can you say about this?
