The comedy sketch show Goin Bulilit has brought endless laughs for both young and old viewers for more than a decade since it’s first episode way back February 6, 2005. Like the old saying that says “all good things must come to an end”, the program which has been a part many household every Sunday will air it’s last and final episode this coming August 4, 2019 after 14 long years of broadcast.
The kiddie program was not only known for its witty and funny segments but also as a training ground for young stars who dreams to someday make it big in the showbiz industry. And the show certainly did a great job as several of the biggest names in the show business today were in fact started out as young comedians of the said Sunday program in their early years.
Here are some of today’s successful celebrities who had their humble beginnings as a former Goin Bulilit child star.
Julia was initially introduced by her birth name Mara Schnittka and was among the fourth batch of the kiddie comedy show. After Going Bulilit, Montes becomes one of the most sought out leading ladies of the recent years and has starred in several Kapamilya shows.
Ocampo was part of the sixth batch of the show and has appeared on several teen oriented program of the network for the next succeding years. Miles has been starring as a regular cast of the Saturday sitcom Home Sweetie Home ever since it’s first episode in 2014.
Celis already had showbiz exposure even before she became a part of the third batch of Goin Bulilit. She was 4 years old when she was casted as the youngest member of the now defunct noon time show Magandang Tanghali Bayan. Kiray, many would agree, was one of the most prominent and distinguishable alumni of the Sunday comedy program.
Nash started out as a contestant of Star Circle Kid Quest Season 1 and eventually bagged the title of grand questor. A year later, he became a part of the seventh batch of the kiddie gag show. His career breakthrough was when Nash played the lead role of a teenage father in the highly acclaimed drama series Bagito in 2014. Today, Aguas has already started to shift his focus from acting into directing.
Sharlene San Pedro
Nash’s fellow SCQ Kid Quest Season 1 questor Sharlene joined Goin Bulilit the same time the young actor did. San Pedro’s career continued to grow past her Goin Bulilit days. Her first lead role was in 2005 in the drama series Mga Anghel Na Walang Langit. Her career breakthourgh went back to back when she portrait the lead part in Calla Lilly the following year 2016.
Jane was part of the fifth batch of Goin Bulilit. Upon graduating from the kiddie sketch show, she has landed several roles which included both supporting and lead characters. Jane once again rose to prominence upon being one of the celebrity housemates in the All In Season of Pinoy Big Brother.
Bernardo, many would agree, was one of the most famous products of Goin Bulilit. She was also part of the fifth batch and starred on numerous projects, both in small and the big screen. She was hailed as Queen of Hearts by her generation due to her immense popularity along side her perennial on screen partner and boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.
One of the graduates of Goin Bulilit, Kristel’s versatility has made her accommodate both protagonist and antagonist roles. Not only she knows how to act but Fulgar has made a name for herself because of her singing and voice quality. Unlike the rest of the graduates of the kiddie show, Kristel took advantage of the modern day technology and in recent years has establish her presence and solid fanbase on social media and in the internet.
Mika Dela Cruz
Being the younger sister of veteran drama actress Angelica Dela Cruz might sound to be a easy ticket to fame. But for Mika Dela Cruz, she has somehow managed to stand out on her own and out of her sister’s shadow. She initially started out in the second season of SCQ Kids where she won second place. Mika later became a part of Goin Bulilit. As of today, she is currently signed in as a contract artist to GMA7 and in a real life romantic relationship with fellow Goin Bulilit and SQC Kids alumnus Nash Aguas.
Shortly after her stint in Goin Bulilit, Alexa was paired as the on screen love team partner of Nash Aguas whom she later on revealed she had an actual relationship with. Like many other Goin Bulilit graduates, Alexa has maintained her relevance in showbiz through numerous roles both in tv and movies.
Beside Kiray, Trina during her early years was one of the most recognizable child star from Goin Bulilit. She started out as the pioneering batch of the kiddie comedy sketch show where she was popularly known because of easy to remember screen name “Hopia” with her cute and irresistable chubby cheeks. Upon exiting Goin Bulilit, Trina remained active in show business for several more year before eventually transitioning into a financial advisor of a well known insurance company.
