Despite her age of 46 years old, many would agree that Kapamilya actress Angel Aquino still has one of the most beautiful faces in the show business. Born Angelita Velasquez Aquino, Angel has been in the industry for more than a decade now and has starred several tv shows as well as films in both GMA7 and ABS CBN.
Her last big screen performance was with Tony Labrusca in the one of the most talked about movie of 2018 titled “Glorious”. Currently, Angel is part of the supporting cast of the prime time hit series “Ang Probinsyano” where she plays the character of Chief of Staff Diana T. Olegario-Dumaguit.
When she is not in front of the cameras, Angel is a loving mother to her two daughters namely Iana and Thea Bernardez. Aquino’s offsprings are just as lovely as their mother and many people would often mistaken them as sisters whenever they are together.
Iana and Thea was introduced to the public way back in 2016 when they are invited as celebrity guests in the morning show “Magandang Buhay”.
In the said episode, Angel recalled her hardships raising her two girls as a single mother. Things even became tougher for the actress when her second born, Thea, was diagnosed with hydrocephalus.
“Ako bilang mom ‘yung bigat sa puso, sa damdamin, sa isip. Pero I can’t imagine what she went through.”
“Yun nga noong pinanganak ko siya na hydrocephalus buti na lang medyo naka-work na ako noon so we were able to support the operation.”
“Pero kasi nag-recur ‘yon when she was 10 years old so mas mahirap,”
“You just have to keep your faith and you have to be strong para everyone around her is strong also,”
It was during that time that, according to Angel, she has proven that a mother’s love know no boundaries.
“Minsan nga parang ‘sana ako na lang.’ Laging ganoon na naiintindihan ko lang ‘yan ngayon na mommy na ako,”
Iana and Thea described Angel as a “cool mom”.
“She’s chill. She’s okay with what we do, she supports us, cool mom,” Thea said.
“Sobrang bait na magi-guilty ka kapag masama ka. Kaya kunwari magde-decide ka, ‘yung good choice na lang ‘yung pipiliin mo,”
“She teaches you how to make good decicisions because she gives you the freedom to do it.”
“Bilang respeto, because your mom gave you that freedom, you choose to do the right thing.”
